The developer of
the Treasury Single Account (TSA) solution, SystemSpecs Limited, said
the Federal Government has yet to pay them because the committee set up
to review the TSA agreement has not concluded its work.
The company's
Managing Director and CEO, Mr John Tani Obaro, disclosed this in Abuja
at the sideline of the Nigeria Internet Governance Forum.
Obaro, who was
represented by the company's Abuja head, Uche Obiofuma, said SystemSpecs
had agreed with the government to renegotiate the contract terms which
will now stipulate the mode of payment.
"We have still not
been paid, what we have agreed on is to renegotiate on the term and mode
of payment. And we are waiting for the findings of the committee setup
by the Minister of Finance to look into the issue", he said.
He said recommendations were being made and "we hope the government will implement the recommendations in good faith."
He said it took the
software company about five years to come up with the TSA solution and
making it flourish will only be to the country's advantage.
