The deep ocean, where light cannot penetrate, is known to harbour all kinds of tooth-filled, glowing and otherwise terrifying species, from the famous angler fish and the long-nosed goblin shark, to giant woodlouse-type creatures and gulper eels that have mouths like pelicans.
