Biafra: There will be serious consequencies for killing agitators in Igbo land – IPOB warns IGP

Pro-Biafra
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has responded to the directive by the Inspector General of Police Mr. Solomon Arase ordering that police officers should disarm and clamp down on pro-Biafra agitators in the South East. The pro-Biafra group warned that should the alleged clamp down lead to death of any agitator, there will be dire consequences.
In his reaction, the spokespersons of the group, Dr. Clifford Iroanya warned that no one takes the life of a Biafra agitator and “goes scot-free.”
The group averred that the police boss displayed gross incompetence and ignorance by lying that IPOB members were armed and attacked Nigerian police officers.
IPOB said the IGP should have conducted a thorough investigation and should have equally checked with the Commissioner of Police in Anambra state before ordering a clamp down on pro-Biafra agitators.
According to Iroanya, “But you issued tissues of lies which you called press statement even after your policemen and Nigerian soldiers killed unarmed Biafrans some of them in their sleep inside a church as they prepared to remember their fallen heroes and some of these fallen heroes were similarly killed by Buhari in 1968 at Owerri.
“The restoration of the nation of Biafra is an ideology and no human being born of a woman has ever defeated or exterminated an ideology.
“For those of you who participate in the wanton killing of Biafrans, there shall be consequences and the boundary of these consequences is limitless and can include members of your family both immediate and extended. No one takes a Biafran life and gets away scot-free.”
