How I welcomed my child with Simi – Adekunle Gold

Popular musician Adekunle Gold has shared details of how he welcomed his first child with his singer-wife, Simi.

The couple announced the birth of their baby girl, Adejare, on Sunday.

Adekunle Gold said he cried when the new born came out.

He wrote: “It’s been a lot right? I know. The violence against women, against black people and this pandemic, was just too much, I had to log out for a bit. I had to check out to prepare a healthy mind and safe space to welcome my child into the world.

“And even though I have sad feelings throughout the day about the crisis outside when I am with my baby, it’s pure unadulterated joy. I cried so much when Adejare came out. I cried when I first held her. I can’t lie, I still stare at her and shed a few more. Lol.

“I’m obsessed with all her expressions; you need to see her stank face – it’s hilarious. I have never seen any baby this beautiful. I mean it. My baby came out with a head full of hair like mine and the most beautiful face I’ve ever seen like Simi. Wow.

“I feel so protective over her, and everything happening right now has made me even more conscious of how I want to raise her. I want her to always know she is loved. She is powerful. She is pure black girl magic and I will always believe in her.”

Pulev tipped to floor Joshua

KUBRAT Pulev will inflict another crushing defeat on Anthony Joshua – and then offer him a rematch, says the Bulgarian’s manager Ivaylo Gotsev.

Pulev is the IBF mandatory challenger for Joshua, who avenged his shock loss to Andy Ruiz Jr with a points victory in an immediate rematch in Saudi Arabia in December.

And Gotsev has suggested that Britain’s heavyweight star will again need a return bout after suffering another setback in his rescheduled world title fight with Pulev.

“Yeah, we’ll give it to him, just like he did with Ruiz, but I can assure one thing – Kubrat is going to be ready for the rematch as well,” Gotsev told Sky Sports.

“He’s not going to let himself go like Ruiz did, for whatever reasons. I mean that wasn’t serious. Kubrat is a serious contender, he’s a No 1 contender, the mandatory contender. He got there by blood, sweat and tears, and he’s legitimate.

“He is the biggest fight of AJ’s career, right now, coming up.

“Once again, AJ did not impress in his last performance. The first fight against Ruiz he looked like a deer in the headlights and the second one he ran like a deer.

“They know this is a serious fight and quite honestly, Kubrat seems to think that AJ is very afraid of him and that’s why it’s taking so long. I happen to agree.”

Pulev’s promoter Bob Arum insists that Croatia remains a potential location for the fight, but Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn has maintained that his ‘absolute priority’ is to deliver a homecoming clash for Joshua in the UK.

Nollywood loses another popular actress to death

Another Nollywood actress Emilia Dike is dead. She died on Wednesday in Enugu.

She just slumped and died, according to Okechukwu Oku, who announced her death.

Oku, who is a movie director broke the news on his Instagram page and lamented why death is so cruel taking good people away.

“Why is death taking the best people???? I’m confused oooo”, he wrote.

“Just filmed with Mama here on my 2 last projects, excited to release it and this horrible news today.

“A woman with a heart of gold, Aah noooo. Will miss you Mrs Dike.

“Nollywood has lost a gem in you. This is messed up”, added the Enugu based Oku.

Davido’s daughter hangs out with Tiwa Savage’s son

Davido’s first child and daughter, Imade Adeleke, was recently spotted hanging out with Tiwa Savage’s son, Jamil Balogun.

The two kids were spotted in the luxurious home of Tiwa Savage enjoying each other’s company.

Imade and Jamil were filmed by Tiwa Savage as they took on the viral fruit snack challenge. The young kids wowed Savage’s 11.1 million followers when they stayed true to the singer’s instruction during the challenge.

The act won them accolades from their celebrity parents and their friends who took to the comment section to commend them. The video already garnered over 1 million views and over 13 thousand comments.

Davido also shared another video of Imade and Jamil playing together. In the video, the two disagreed with the choice of game to play as Imade insisted she’s female and not supposed to play some games that Jamil had suggested.

The video saw Tiwa Savage hinting that Davido will be babysitting next.

Imade lives with her mum, Sophie Momodu in highbrow Lekki while Jamil lives with his mum, Tiwa Savage in the same area.

Barely 48 hours after the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris bowed out of the service, controversial rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem on Wednesday gave a farewell message to him.

The ‘One Leg up’ and ‘Jagajaga’ crooner took to his Instagram handle @abdulkareemeedris on Wednesday to give a farewell message to the former IGP.

“Former IGP Idris Ibrahim, I personally welcome you to another phase of life!

“I congratulate you as you join the class of Retired Public Office Holders (RPOH), If you did well as the Police Boss, may goodness follow you.

“But if you did bad because you were acting on instruction, causing untold hardship to innocent citizens, may your retirement be as miserable as the lives of those you made miserable,” he wrote.
