My Relationship & Marriage Group has been on fire since yesterday, where contentious questions about Relationship and Marriage were argued upon, Once Mr Darlington Ibim stated somethings that a genuine christian must do; he further says that as a genuine christian, you are meant to do church marriage, thou it may be silent one, but its a must to observed, he stated and i quote '' But you don't allow your marriage to be conducted by traditionalist who will invoke evil spirits to bless that marriage and expect the blessing of God.The foundation of a marriage determines its source of blessing.The devil and his priest can't bless your marriage''.
while one Gloria Olarenwaju says and as i quote '' We are not saying church is not important ooo, but i can do traditional wedding and my marriage will be blessed by God to the call...My Submission''.
she further says and i quote '' Let stop claiming Holier than Jesus, without Church wedding means you are not true christian, thats not true''.
while one Esther Ajuma Omale put in her own contributions; One bitter truth, Born again or not, once you traditionally/customary married, your marriage is ordained by the Almighty God, who is he originator of marriage. Even without a church wedding. Some unbelievers enjoy their marriage more than some so called believers. and she says; The denomination you attend is your WATCH WORD and not the Bible? Ephesians 3:31-32 '' A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.''32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the Church are one.
Mr Darlington further states that you can end with traditional marriage if your church accepts that. But even in such a situation, the church takes total charge of the marriage from start to finish and the couple and their families abide by the dictates of the church. i have seen such a situation. In that case, it is still the church representing Jesus Christ that has done the marriage.
Mrs Owoo Olufunke put some clarifications by saying; The Church is the building and various people attend both saved and unbeliever but salvation is personal. And if one is saved and redeemed, definitely the relationship of the person with God is the majority, when Isaac wanted to marry Rebecca, the eldest servant of Abraham who was sent for this assignment said in Genesis 24 vs 12 to 14 '' O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee....... So i believe in cordial relationship with God. you may even be told by God to do it in low key, hat doesnt mean your pastors will not attend in as much they are spirit filled but if not, just make sure you are through with yur maker and you will not regret.
