The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council has lost one of its Veteran journalists, Pa Ola Beyioku.
According to one of the children of the deceased, Mr Tunde Olatunji, Beyioku died on Saturday, 3rd November 2018, at the age of 93.
Beyioku, during his lifetime was a prolific writer per excellence, a mentor and a successful public relations guru. He also enjoyed officiating boxing tournaments.
The deceased who chose journalism as his passion, was active in union activities and programmes in the State until five years ago.
He retired from active services in 1984 as the Principal Public Relations officer, Ogun State Sports Council.
As announced by the family, Christians Wake Keep holds on Thursday, 8th November, 2018 at his residence C1/24 Federal Housing Estate, Olomoore, Old Brewery, Abeokuta at 4pm.
Burial and church service holds at United African Methodist Church, Ijemo from 10am while reception holds immediately at She Micheal Hall, Olomoore,Abeokuta.
The union, however, enjoined all journalists in the state to attend the burial programmes.
